The first AUGUSTA JONES collection was launched in 1999 under the creative leadership of British designer Charlotte Leung. She needed a line for her own shop to satisfy three basic requirements: beautiful styling; flexibility of the range to flatter a variety of shapes; and affordability.

Her focus was to bring stylish, designer wedding gowns to modern brides. With the success of her initial bridal collection, she was encouraged to launch the range throughout England in September 1999 and then in the US in March 2003. Wanting to offer brides a complete look, she added
